The Council of Residential Specialists Announces New Leaders

The Council of Residential Specialists, the largest affiliate of the National Association of Realtors®, announced its new leaders for 2003. Next year's President Bill Sloan, CRS, is a long-time active residential Realtor® with RE/MAX Real Estate Services in Mission Viejo, Calif. He is the past president and was awarded Realtor® of the Year by his local association of Realtors® in 1988. Before Sloan entered real estate, he worked several years for Xerox Corporation. During the Vietnam War, he served as a pilot for the U.S. Navy. In 1996, Sloan was an undefeated five-game winner of the TV program "Jeopardy" and won $68,000.

This year's Council President has a strong team of officers to help him accomplish his goals. Gail Flagel, CRB, CRS, is the 2003 President-Elect of the Council of Residential Specialists, who has a wealth of real estate management and sales experience. Currently, she is the Vice President and General Manager of First Realty/GMAC in Des Moines, Iowa, a division of Iowa Realty, the state's largest real estate company.

Ingrid Glancy, CRS, serves as the 2003 Financial Vice President of the Council. She brings her long-time experience as an active residential Realtor® for Coldwell Banker Previews in Denver, as well as her leadership in the Council's chapters, regions and national committees to the team.

The Council of Residential Specialists, the largest not-for-profit affiliate of the National Association of Realtors® with more than 40,000 members in the United States, awards the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) Designation to experienced Realtors® who have completed advanced professional training.
